15.04.2020 Published in KubSTU scientific and technical journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food Technology” has been included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database since April 5, 2020. The Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) is a database of scientific articles that is integrated into the international Web of Science Citation Database (WOS). Publications included in the RSCI database are automatically placed as a separate index on the Web of Science platform. RSCI is a project implemented on the basis of the well-known RSCI platform. A joint project of the companies “Clarivate Analytics” and “Scientific Electronic Library”eLIBRARY.RU ” it provides for the placement of 1000 best Russian journals on the Web of Science platform. As of April 5, 2020, the RSCI database includes 792 Russian journals selected by experts as a result of a multi-stage competitive selection. The journals were evaluated according to the following indicators: scientific level, relevance, stability, scientific rating of scientists who are members of the editorial board, ethics, registration and delivery to the RSCI. The experts of the RSCI working group took into account a very high average rating of the journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food technology” according to the results of public expertise — 3.29 with a maximum value of 4.0. Scientific and technical journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food Technology” has been published at the Kuban State Technological University since 1957. The journal is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals included by the Higher Attestation Commission of Russia (HAC RF) in the list of publications recommended for publishing the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate and Doctor of Sciences. The task of scientists is to constantly work on improving the scientific and practical level of the articles published in the journal, which will contribute to the consolidation of the journal in the RSCI database and its promotion into authoritative international scientific citation databases.

In December 2017, the Kuban State Technological University hosted a solemn meeting of the editorial board of the journal “News of Higher Educational Institutions. Food Technology” on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the publication since its establishment! The guests of the solemn event were employees of KubSTU, representatives of the Guild of bakers and confectioners, the Krasnodar Research Institute for Storage and Processing of Agricultural Products – a branch of the North Caucasus Federal Scientific Center for Horticulture, Viticulture, Winemaking, and the North Caucasus Federal University. During the meeting, the editor-in-chief of the journal, President of KubSTU Professor Vladimir Lobanov made a report. He spoke about the processes of its development over the years of its existence, the results of scientific research and applied developments. It was noted that thanks to the team of authors, the journal was formed as a problematic scientific publication, in which most of the articles are current research in the field of food technologies, modes and equipment, promising solutions. The journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food technology” is widely known not only in Russia, but also in the countries of the near and far abroad. Along with Russian scientists, the editorial board includes scientists from the Republic of Belarus, Bulgaria and Germany. Plans for the development of the journal were discussed at the meeting of the editorial board.
