Scientific and technical journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food Technology” has been published at the Kuban State Technological University since 1957. During this time, more than 380 issues of the journal have been published, in which more than 17 thousand scientific articles have been published.
The journal contributed to the opening of dissertation councils in Russian universities, doctoral and postgraduate studies in food specialties, preparation of doctoral and candidate dissertations in food profile.

Since 2006, the scientific and technical journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food Technology” is included in the list of peer—reviewed scientific publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (now the Ministry of Science and Higher Education), in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degrees of doctor and candidate of sciences should be published.

The journal is distributed by subscription in forty subjects of the Russian Federation and abroad. Electronic versions of the articles published in the journal are presented on the website of the Scientific Electronic Library eLibrary.ru
Published in KubSTU scientific and technical journal “Izvestiya vuzov. Food Technology” has been included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database since April 5, 2020. The Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) is a database of scientific articles that is integrated into the international Web of Science Citation Database (WOS). Publications included in the RSCI database are automatically placed as a separate index on the Web of Science platform.
RSCI is a project implemented on the basis of the well-known RSCI platform. A joint project of the companies “Clarivate Analytics” and “Scientific Electronic Library”eLIBRARY.RU ” it provides for the placement of 1000 best Russian journals on the Web of Science platform.
